Picture Perfect Seminar

A live one-day seminar designed to help you pass the the IBLCE exam

Approximately 100 of the 175 questions on the exam will be based on images and it is very important that you have experience tackling these types of exam items. In this live, one-day seminar, Marie will teach you to interpret over 200 pictures of breastfeeding dyads, charts, graphs, and other images. Goals & Objectives


To enable first-time candidates and certified lactation consultants to pass the IBLCE Exam.


  • State at least 5 visual elements in a photograph which provides clues that distinguish one clinical condition from similar but different conditions.
  • Accurately identify normal and abnormal conditions that may be found on the skin of the breastfeeding mother or her infant.
  • Accurately recognize conditions of the mammary gland that may occur as a result of lactogenesis, congenital defects, trauma, or infection (including MRSA).
  • Relate growth and developmental milestones to photographs of infants and children.
  • Interpret charts, diagrams, drawings, and other graphic media related to breastfeeding, statistical measures, and related data.

Credits & Program Expiration

Credits & Accreditation

This program for 5.2 L-CERPs has been approved by Breastfeeding Outlook (Provider # CLT108-22) which is accredited as a long-term provider by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.

This program provides 5.2 instructional hours in topics on the IBLCE Detailed Content Outline, and has been approved by Breastfeeding Outlook (Provider # CLT108-22) which is accredited as a long-term provider by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 15628, for 5.2 contact hours, accepted in all states in the United States.

Breastfeeding Outlook is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). CDR Credentialed Practitioners will receive 5.2 CPEUs at Level II for completion of this activity.

After purchasing this course, you will have one year after the start date of the live portion of your course to complete all the course requirements and earn your credits. If you do not exercise your right to earn credits prior to the expiration date, no credits will be given. Program expiration dates can be extended at the discretion of Breastfeeding Outlook.

Course Policies


Only written cancellations received prior to the cancellation deadline (see schedule above) are eligible for a refund; no refunds can be issued after that date. All refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee and will be issued within 30 days of the receipt of written cancellation. Substitutions are allowed, but please notify our Registrar at 703-787-9894 as soon as possible. In the unlikely event that a program is canceled, Breastfeeding Outlook will refund the registration fee in full, but is not responsible for any travel, hotel, or other costs you may incur.

Course Requirements

Credits are awarded only upon successful completion of all the written and online homework, attendance at all sessions of the course, and only for those participants who sign in in the morning and sign out at 4:00 PM that day.

All requirements must be completed prior to the program expiration date.

Credits will be awarded at 4:00 PM on the day of the course.

In accordance with our agreement with our certifying agencies, no partial credit will be given. Plan your travel time accordingly, there are no exceptions.
